Building your own home?

We have a comprehensive plan to deploy fibre to 1.9 million premises, all of which have been identified by their unique Eircode.

So far, we've successfully deployed fibre to over 1.3 million of these locations.

But what if you've recently built a new home or are in the process of building one? Newly constructed homes or businesses may not have been part of our original planning.

To check if your premises are included in our future rollout plans, please refer to the information below

Important things to be aware of

  • If you are building your own home

Please make sure that your contractor installs ducting to allow for a fibre cable to run from the curtilage (pavement) to your home. You will need an eircode to check if your home / business is included in our deployment. The allocation of eircodes, is the sole responsibility of An Post GeoDirectory

  • New premises

We use quarterly updates from An Post GeoDirectory to identify new premises for our commercial deployment.

  • Eircode not recognised

If your eircode isn't recognised, it may not be included in the An Post GeoDirectory yet. However we can check if it is in our deployment footprint, just fill out our Single Dwellings form below for clarification.

  • Notice

Having an eircode doesn't guarantee fibre availability. It helps us plan in terms of where we need to extend our deployment or your home may be located in the National Broadband footprint.

To avoid delays at installation stage

it is recommended that at build stage you prepare your home for fibre, which means the correct ducting is installed from curtilage to wall of your building.
